Connor Thomson has just announced that in addition to challenging for the Aprilia Superteen crown, he is to compete in the KTM Cup, a support series in British Superbike. This has happened in the main part because of the continued support of P&H Motorcycles and CS Tyre Services. In addition, he is also expected to enter three rounds of the Moriwaki Cup as a wild card entry.
Thomson to compete in KTM Cup
The KTM Cup is another one-make series for riders between 13 and 18, so he will be one of the youngest riders in the class. The riders compete on identical KTM RC390 at eight events throughout the year. The series winner in 2015 has now progressed to Motostar British Championship, so it is a series where young talent is spotted and you can progress your career. P & H Motorcycles will sponsor the KTM bike and CS Tyre services are providing the rubber.
Moriwaki Cup wild cards
Not only is Connor Thomson to compete in these two racing series he is also hoping to enter three rounds of the Moriwaki Cup. The 250 Junior Cup is another popular championship which has been running for the last five seasons and attracts riders from many nationalities. There are races throughout Europe and many of the winners have gone on to the Red Bull Rookies Cup, a feeder series for world championship racing. Subject to confirmation it is likely that Connor Thomson will enter the races at Silverstone, Snetterton and Brands Hatch.
